Biometric identity verification and government ID authentication (KYC).
Request Access to Your Consumer File
Under FCRA § 1681g, you have the right to request disclosure of all information Settl has in your consumer file. This includes the sources of that information and, in most cases, the identity of anyone who accessed your file within the past year.
How to Request
Email [email protected] with the subject line “File Disclosure Request” and include:
- Your full legal name
- Date of birth
- The verification code shown on your Settl report (if available)
Annual Disclosure
Once every 12 months at no charge

Within 15 days of a verifiable request
How to Dispute Inaccurate Information
Under FCRA § 1681i, you have the right to dispute incomplete or inaccurate information in your consumer file. Settl is required to investigate your dispute and correct or delete any information that cannot be verified.
Dispute Process

- We will investigate within 30 days (up to 45 days if you provide additional relevant information)
- If we cannot verify the disputed information, it will be deleted or corrected
- We will notify you of the outcome in writing

Colorado Tenant Rights (HB25-1236)
Under Colorado C.R.S. § 38-12-902, landlords are required to accept a Portable Tenant Screening Report (PTSR) like the Settl Verified Passport if it meets state requirements. This means landlords cannot require applicants to pay for a new screening when a qualifying PTSR is available.
Housing voucher holders: Under C.R.S. § 38-12-902(2.5)(e)(I) and C.R.S. § 24-34-502, credit information may not be used as a factor in rental decisions for voucher holders in protected jurisdictions.
